Blumhouse Games and Dublin-based developer Gambrinous have officially launched Eyes of Hellfire in PC Early Access on Steam. The cooperative gothic horror title is inspired by Irish folklore, placing up to five players inside the foreboding Hellfire Club’s Lodge where trust, survival, and betrayal intertwine.
Early Access Features and Content
At launch, players can experience the first full scenario, five playable characters, and a selection of unlockable bonus cards and curses. More content is on the way, as the developers have outlined a roadmap that promises additional characters, scenarios, cards, and quality-of-life updates throughout Early Access.
Friend’s Pass and Cooperative Play
A standout feature is the Steam Friends Pass, which allows players without a purchased copy to join friends who own the game. Those who do purchase will gain access to meta character progression, extra card unlocks, and deeper customization options.
This feature emphasizes the game’s cooperative core: working together to solve puzzles, battle supernatural entities, and navigate the twisted agenda of the mysterious Host. But survival isn’t guaranteed—each player carries a unique curse that must be broken, raising questions of whether loyalty or betrayal will prevail when escape is within reach.
