RatScum Announced With First Teaser Trailer at The MIX Fall Showcase

Los Angeles-based indie studio Eclair Games has officially announced RatScum, unveiling the game’s first teaser trailer during The MIX Fall Showcase. The narrative-driven adventure places players in the role of a lost rat navigating the dangers and mysteries of a decaying apartment building at the edge of the city.

Set in a world where every shadow conceals both peril and wonder, RatScum invites players to scurry through vents and pipes, solve puzzles, and uncover stories hidden in the walls. Along the way, you’ll befriend strange rats, spy on the human tenants, and decide how to survive in a space that was never meant for you.

Survive in the Shadows

RatScum emphasizes survival through stealth and wit. Using your rodent instincts, you’ll need to outsmart traps, creep past dangers, and seize opportunities to explore forgotten corners of the crumbling building.

The game’s tense encounters with human tenants bring an added layer of suspense. Most won’t be thrilled to discover a furry visitor scurrying across the floor, and when panic sets in, danger follows.

A Strange Little Story

At its heart, RatScum is a story about curiosity and discovery. Eclair Games describes the experience as whimsical yet unsettling, where even the filth and forgotten places hold beauty and peace. But beneath the charm lies something darker, waiting to be uncovered when the lights go out.

RatScum does not yet have a release date, but players can wishlist the game now on Steam.
