A Frontier Plagued by Madness

Tombwater transports players to a once-thriving Wild West town, now swallowed by decay and eldritch corruption. Shadows stretch from abandoned silver mines, whispers echo through empty saloons, and bloodthirsty monsters roam the dust-choked streets.

You play as a lone gunslinger lured to Tombwater by the mysterious disappearance of Sheriff Elliott Flintwood — a long-lost friend who once fought to save the town. To uncover the truth, you’ll need to cut through hordes of nightmarish foes, endure punishing boss fights, and resist the creeping madness consuming the frontier.

Inspired by Zelda and Souls

Mraz — whose Yarntown served as a pixel-art love letter to Bloodborne — describes Tombwater as a blend of classic Zelda exploration and Soulslike tension. The result is a top-down action RPG that feels both nostalgic and fresh, filled with secrets, labyrinthine mines, and grueling combat encounters.

Players can expect around 20 hours of gameplay, with multiple weapons, spells, and charms at their disposal. A crafting system lets you brew tonics, bombs, and other apothecary concoctions from scavenged materials, adding a layer of resource management to each trek through the cursed town.
