During the Best Indie Games Showcase 2025, publisher Midwest Games and developer Permanent Way Entertainment unveiled a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming action-adventure title, The Legend of Baboo. The footage gives fans a closer look at the dangers young Sepehr and his loyal canine companion Baboo must overcome as they embark on a perilous journey to save their family and island home.
A Boy, His Dog, and an Ancient Evil
Drawing inspiration from fables passed down through generations, The Legend of Baboo centers on the bond between Sepehr and his fluffy, loveable dog, Baboo. Together, they must harness courage, loyalty, and magic to confront demonic invaders and ancient mystical forces.
Sepehr wields a magical staff, while Baboo supports him in combat with sharp claws and an ear-splitting super bark. Along the way, players will face otherworldly bosses and traverse enchanted environments from black forests and cursed wildernesses to roaring rivers and frozen tundras.
