Publisher Funbox Media has announced that Tales from Candleforth, a folk horror 2D point-and-click adventure, is now available on PlayStation 5. Previously released on Steam, the game now brings its haunting narrative and hand-drawn visuals to console players looking for a chilling experience.

Folklore Meets Nightmare

At the heart of Tales from Candleforth is the concept of corrupted fairy tales, where long-buried forbidden writings twist familiar stories into something far darker. Players must navigate this unsettling blend of folklore and nightmare as the lines between myth and reality blur.

Sarah’s Story

The game’s first tale follows Sarah, a 16-year-old girl suddenly left to run her family’s apothecary after her grandmother mysteriously disappears. When Sarah uncovers clues suggesting her grandmother might still be alive, she also learns of powers passed down through the women of her family. Her search soon spirals into occultism, mystery, and horror as she uncovers sinister truths lurking within Candleforth.
