Developer Nice Dream and publisher Skybound Games have announced that a new demo for Goodnight Universe is now available on Steam, arriving just ahead of Steam Next Fest. The demo offers a 20-minute preview of key opening scenes, letting players test out some of the inventive ways the developers use the camera as a storytelling tool.
Physical Editions Coming This December
In addition to the demo, Skybound Games confirmed that physical editions of Goodnight Universe will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 on December 9, 2025, for $29.99. These editions include:
- The full game
- A digital code for the official soundtrack
- An artbook featuring original concept art from the Nice Dream team

Digital Release in November
Goodnight Universe will also launch digitally on November 11, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, priced at $19.99.
