The Occultist Reveals New Extended Gameplay Trailer at IGN Fan Fest

Daedalic Entertainment and DALOAR showed off a gameplay trailer for their game, The Occultist, during IGN Fan Fest. The trailer shows off gameplay elements like the mystic pendulum and some of the many denizens of GodStone.

The music? Creepy. The enemy design? Horrifying. The atmosphere? Oppressive. The Occultist‘s latest gameplay trailer shows off a bit more of the world of GodStone and some of the terrifying situations you’ll get yourself into while playing.

With the extended gameplay trailer, we’re getting a look at how far the game has progressed since the cinematic announcement trailer was released a year ago. Hilariously, the 3-minute trailer we received in 2024 tells us significantly less about what’s happening than the minute and a half trailer released today.

The extended gameplay trailer shows off the powers that our protagonist, Alan Rebels, has at his disposal. Like many first-person survival-horror experiences, The Occultist will no doubt be rife with scary situations out of the player’s control, along with a power imbalance.

Alan is on GodStone to determine the cause of the sudden disappearance of his father. Could he, along with his mystic pendulum, figure out what happened and unravel the mysteries of GodStone? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see.

DALOR is aiming for a 2026 release for The Occultist on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Stay tuned to the MonsterVine front page for ongoing coverage of survival horror games, Daedalic Entertainment, and The Occultist.
