Serenity Forge, the Colorado-based developer and publisher behind Doki Doki Literature Club Plus, To the Moon, and LISA, has officially unveiled Fractured Blooms. This psychological horror farming sim hides something sinister beneath its warm surface. Following its first tease at Summer Game Fest 2025, the studio revealed more about the game’s eerie narrative and released a free demo available now on Steam.
Players take on the role of Angie, a teenage girl trapped in a looping cycle of domestic routine, gardening, cooking, cleaning, and caring for her small countryside home. But beneath the quiet rhythm of daily chores lies something far darker. As each loop repeats, the world around Angie begins to decay, and her own perception of reality starts to crumble.
“I Placed the Pot on the Table, Set the Plates, and Called Them to Die.”
Every moment in Fractured Blooms is layered with unease. The game encourages players to “experience fear through care,” where acts of love and routine become sources of tension and dread. Managing resources, preparing meals, and maintaining order take on a new meaning as Angie’s reality shifts with each passing loop.
Serenity Forge describes the experience as inspired by a true story, blending emotional storytelling with horror elements that unravel slowly until everything feels wrong.
For the most immersive experience, the studio recommends playing the demo with headphones, an Xbox controller, and the lights off.
Dinner Is Served
Players can now download the free demo of Fractured Blooms on Steam, supporting 19 languages at launch. The game’s haunting tone, minimalist design, and psychological depth continue Serenity Forge’s tradition of crafting emotionally charged, genre-defying experiences.
