Toronto-based indie studio Soft Rains has officially launched Ambrosia Sky: Act One, the debut chapter of its atmospheric first-person sci-fi adventure. The game is available now on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with Acts Two and Three planned for release in 2026.
In Ambrosia Sky, players step into the role of Dalia, a field scientist and member of an enigmatic order obsessed with achieving human immortality. Sent back to a colony on Saturn’s rings, a place she once called home, Dalia finds only death and decay. Hostile fungal growths have overtaken the outpost, and the few remaining traces of life hint at betrayal and tragedy.
An Immersive Sim of Decay and Discovery
Described by Soft Rains as a “clean-’em-up immersive sim,” Ambrosia Sky fuses slow-burn narrative tension with tactile, hands-on mechanics. Players will wield a chemical sprayer and grappling tether to cleanse alien infestations, harvest spores, and craft chemical upgrades to combat increasingly unpredictable fungal species.
Each area of the colony offers replayable missions, complete voice acting, and hidden narrative layers waiting to be uncovered. Every fungus reacts differently; some detonate when disturbed, others discharge electricity, and the deadliest stalks you across zero-gravity terrain.
