NiGHTS Arrives in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds This Week

A beloved and iconic Sega character is set to debut in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds this week, as NiGHTS will join the game as a playable racer quite soon.

On Wednesday, December 24 at 4:00 P.M. PT, you’ll be able to play as NiGHTS in the explosive Sega racing game. This comes in the form of a free update, meaning you’ll be able to be NiGHTS without shelling out any extra cash for the DLC. Included in the update is:

  • NiGHTS as a playable character
  • NiGHTS’ vehicle, Dream Sleeper
  • Special emotes and sounds

We reviewed Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds back when it released in September, and described it as “everything a kart racer should be and then some.” We weren’t alone in that sentiment, as the kart racer currently enjoys a critic score of 82 on MetaCritic, with an even higher user score of 8.8.

What consoles can you get Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on?

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is now available to purchase on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC . The game costs $60 USD on all platforms but the Nintendo Switch 2, where it costs $70 USD.
