Moon Studios has released a brand-new action-packed trailer for No Rest for the Wicked Together, the highly anticipated co-op multiplayer update for its beautifully brutal action-RPG No Rest for the Wicked. The update is set to launch on January 22, 2026, expanding the Early Access title with a bold new approach to cooperative play.
A New Take on Co-op in Action RPGs
Unlike traditional co-op systems found in many ARPGs and MMORPGs, No Rest for the Wicked Together introduces persistent shared Realms that allow up to four players to adventure together without requiring a host to be online. This means friends can drop in and out of the same world freely, progressing together through Isola Sacra as if it were a living, shared space.
The update enhances the game’s signature soulslike combat to better support multiplayer encounters. Enemies now react dynamically when outnumbered or cornered, creating more desperate and unpredictable fights. Moon Studios has also reworked enemy placements across the world, ensuring that even veteran players will encounter fresh surprises.
Shared Progression, Housing, and Order Amid Chaos
Co-op isn’t limited to combat alone. Players will be able to collaborate during downtime by sharing and building housing, interacting with newly reworked vendors, and managing group decisions through a simple voting system designed to keep chaos in check. These features aim to make co-op feel cohesive and communal rather than disruptive, even in a freeform multiplayer environment.
Alongside the multiplayer additions, the update also introduces a variety of quality-of-life improvements, further refining the Early Access experience.
A Dark Fantasy World Crafted by the Ori Team
No Rest for the Wicked marks Moon Studios’ third full-length release, following the critically acclaimed Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Players step into the role of a Cerim, a holy warrior empowered with mysterious abilities, tasked with eradicating the Pestilence, an ancient plague consuming the politically fractured island of Isola Sacra.
Through tense combat, deep crafting systems, character progression, and homestead upgrades, players carve their place in a grim narrative of bloodshed and bravery. All of it is brought to life through Moon Studios’ signature painterly art style, which once again sets the game apart visually.
