Bungie’s upcoming extraction shooter Marathon is getting ready for its launch by letting players join a preview session this weekend. Appropriately called “The Server Slam”, it features an intro to Marathon’s core gameplay loop and will have a limited selection of maps and Runner shells. The Server Slam will begin on February 26 and run through March 2, and players who participate in the weekend session will earn a special emblem and banner when the game launches later next week.
In Marathon, players scavenge the lost colony of Tau Ceti IV as a bio-cybernetic Runner while surviving against hostile security forces, rival Runners, and unpredictable environments to seek their fortune. Marathon releases March 5* and is available in Standard and Deluxe editions for PlayStation 5, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S with full cross play and cross save**.
