Denshattack! Launches June 17 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch 2 — Demo Live Now

The hype train is officially leaving the station on June 17, as Denshattack! launches on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and was newly announced during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase, Nintendo Switch 2. A playable demo is available now on Switch 2 and Steam, giving players an early taste of the game’s high-speed, trick-driven chaos.

Published by Fireshine Games and developed by Undercoders, Denshattack! challenges players to become Japan’s greatest train driver by battling rivals across more than 50 vibrant stages. Equal parts arcade spectacle and rebellious sports fantasy, the game asks a simple question: what if trains could kickflip?

No Brakes, No Rules

At its core, Denshattack! blends over-the-top train combat with trick-based gameplay inspired by skateboarding culture. Players grind rails, flip through the air, chain together wild combos, and compete against a colorful roster of rival drivers. The Switch 2 demo includes the first four stages plus a dedicated trick park designed for mastering stunts and building momentum.

While the controls are approachable, true mastery requires rhythm, precision, and creativity. The game encourages players to embrace chaos, break conventions, and create their own flow because in Denshattack!, slowing down isn’t an option.

A Dystopian Ride Through Japan

Set in a fractured future where the ultra-wealthy live in sealed, air-purified domes and the wasteland below is ruled by gangs, players take on the role of Emi. Rising through the ranks, Emi must defeat rival crews, collect upgrades, and dominate Japan’s underground train battle scene. The setting fuses dystopian world-building with bold, colorful environments that stretch across the country.

A Soundtrack Built for Speed

The musical energy behind Denshattack! is just as explosive as its gameplay. Main composer Tee Lopes (Sonic Mania, TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge) is joined by an all-star lineup including Ryo Nagamatsu (Splatoon series, Mario Kart series), Richard Jacques (Jet Set Radio series, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy), and Takenobu Mitsuyoshi (Daytona USA, Sega Rally Championship). Together, they deliver a soundtrack packed with high-energy tracks designed to match the game’s relentless pace.
