NTE: Neverness to Everness is officially launching on April 29, 2026, with Perfect World Games and Hotta Studio confirming a full multiplatform release for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android.
Alongside the release date news, the publisher also rolled out a new character trailer, opened PlayStation 5 pre-orders, and kicked off a pre-registration campaign packed with in-game rewards and physical prizes. For a game that has been building interest around its supernatural city setting, this is the biggest concrete update yet.
Hethereau’s supernatural city opens in April
In NTE: Neverness to Everness, players take on the role of an “unlicensed” Anomaly Hunter in the sprawling city of Hethereau, a neon-heavy urban setting where strange reality-warping phenomena are part of daily life. The game mixes open-world exploration with supernatural threats, odd jobs, and investigation, as players dig into the mysteries hiding beneath the city’s surface.
That setup is still the game’s strongest pitch. NTE: Neverness to Everness is clearly aiming for a mix of urban fantasy, live-service RPG systems, and character-driven storytelling, with Hethereau acting as the centerpiece. The game is built in Unreal Engine 5, and the city is being framed as a seamless open world where humans and anomalies coexist.
New trailer introduces Jiuyuan
The latest trailer spotlights Jiuyuan, described as Sperry Express’s top courier. On the surface, she works as a calm and diligent shopkeeper, but the press release paints her as something much more useful in Hethereau: an informant who can move between the city’s factions with ease.
Character reveals like this are standard, but they matter more in a game like NTE: Neverness to Everness, where the cast looks like a big part of the appeal. The studio is pushing the idea of a lineup of playable characters with their own abilities and personalities, which fits the game’s episodic comedy-drama structure.
PS5 pre-orders and pre-registration rewards are live now
Perfect World has also opened PlayStation 5 pre-orders, giving console players the option to preload the game ahead of launch day. At the same time, the new “Hethereau Residents Guide” pre-registration event is now live.
The campaign runs from March 26 at 10:00 AM through April 28 at 11:59 PM (UTC) and includes a mix of digital and real-world rewards. Players who complete missions, invite friends, and log into their PWG accounts can earn items like Fabricated Dice x1, A-Class Arc: The Forgotten, Fons x3,000, Beetle Coin x6,000, Senior Hunter Guide x3, and Colorless Dye x3.
On top of that, some participants can also win Amazon gift cards or a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition.
More than just combat
Perfect World is also continuing to sell NTE: Neverness to Everness as more than a standard action RPG. Beyond the main story and supernatural investigations, players will be able to collect and modify sports cars, race, buy and design homes, and even run a business.
That wide range of side activities is ambitious. It also means NTE: Neverness to Everness is aiming for a broader lifestyle sim edge on top of its RPG framework. That could help it stand out, though it also raises the usual question: how much of this will feel deep, and how much will feel like feature padding? For now, the city itself remains the main draw.
