Task Time is out now on PC via Steam in Early Access, with Wired Productions and ReadGraves surprise-launching the party game during the Galaxies Showcase. The game is free to play for its first 48 hours, and after that it will be sold at a 38% launch discount, bringing the price down from $7.99 to $4.95.
The multiplayer party game supports up to eight players and features six rounds of physics-based mini-games. The Early Access version includes five maps, supports 4-player split-screen alongside online multiplayer, and features more than 100,000 task variations.
Early Access launch includes crossover content
The launch version also includes a PEAK crossover, with players able to unlock the Bing Bong character as in-game cosmetics. The game’s Early Access release is intended to evolve based on community feedback over the coming months, and the team expects Task Time to remain in Early Access for around 3 to 6 months.
A party game built around sabotage and shifting tasks
Task Time is described as a game show-inspired competitive party game where players race through rapid-fire tasks while trying to stop everyone else from winning. No two matches play out the same, thanks to its large pool of randomized task combinations.
