Owlcat Games has released two new character trailers spotlighting upcoming companions in Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. The new reveals introduce Haymar Devos for Dark Heresy and Eogunn Februs for Rogue Trader, giving players a closer look at two very different additions to Owlcat’s growing Warhammer 40,000 RPG lineup.
Haymar Devos is already available in the ongoing Dark Heresy alpha, while Eogunn Februs will join the Rogue Trader’s crew later this year as part of the game’s third DLC, The Infinite Museion.
Haymar Devos Brings Catachan Survival Skills to Dark Heresy
The new Dark Heresy trailer focuses on Haymar Devos, a former Astra Militarum soldier from Catachan, one of the deadliest Death Worlds in the Imperium. Raised in an environment where nearly everything is trying to kill you, Haymar developed the instincts and toughness needed to survive before later serving in the elite Catachan Devils unit and eventually joining the Inquisition in the Calixis sector.
In gameplay terms, Haymar is built as a deadly combatant who can handle both close-range and ranged encounters. Owlcat also says his awareness and knowledge of dangerous environments make him useful outside of combat, especially when exploring Scintilla and examining evidence tied to Inquisition investigations.
Eogunn Februs Joins Rogue Trader in The Infinite Museion
Over in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Owlcat revealed Eogunn Februs, a Tech-Priest Manipulus and Genetor Extremis who will arrive with DLC 3, The Infinite Museion. Eogunn is part of the secretive Xenarite sect within the Adeptus Mechanicus and is searching for forbidden knowledge alongside his servo-skull companion, Nuncius.
Eogunn approaches things with cold logic and strict rationality, though his story also hints at unresolved events from his past. In combat, he fills a support role by using his galvanic cell to drain the Motive Force from enemies, then either redirect that energy to allies or channel it into his own attacks.
Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader Continue Expanding Owlcat’s Warhammer Lineup
The two companions reveal a better idea of how Owlcat is building out both games, with Dark Heresy leaning into investigation and Inquisition work while Rogue Trader continues expanding its crew options through post-launch content.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is set to launch on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, along with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The first two DLCs are available on all platforms except Switch 2.
