Omega Phenex Commenced Project Six has launched its first open beta on Steam, giving players worldwide access to the high-speed mech shooter starting now. The beta is available to anyone with a Steam account and includes the game’s first five missions.
The test is expected to run through around June 2026, with the developer using feedback to shape the final release.
A High-Speed Mech Shooter Focused on Movement
Developed by solo creator Surumemanzyu, Omega Phenex Commenced Project Six focuses on fast movement and large-scale combat. Players pilot a hyper-mobile mech called Icarus, moving across wide environments that range from ocean surfaces to high-altitude airspace.
The game allows players to switch between third-person and cockpit views during missions, offering different perspectives on combat and traversal.
Story Mode and Combat Systems in the Beta
The open beta introduces the game’s story mode, centered on a protagonist known as Seeker. The narrative takes place on Atlantis, a land filled with autonomous weapons and explored through mission briefings, in-combat dialogue, and 3D cutscenes.
Combat focuses on high-speed engagements against large enemy forces and bosses, emphasizing mobility and aerial combat.
Deep Mech Customization
Customization is a major part of the experience. Players can modify various parts of their mech, including the head, core, arms, and legs, as well as tune performance and adjust visual details such as color schemes.
As players complete missions, they unlock more parts and expand their options, allowing for different builds tailored to combat style.
Full Release Planned for 2027
Omega Phenex Commenced Project Six currently has over 65,000 wishlists on Steam and is scheduled for a full release in 2027.
The open beta is live now on Steam and will remain available for a limited time.
