Acclaim has announced that it will publish Kidbash: Super Legend, the roguelike action-platformer from Indonesian indie studios Authentic Remixes and Fat Raccoon. The game is planned to launch on Steam and consoles in early 2027.
The announcement was made during BitSummit in Kyoto with a new trailer showing the game’s claymation-style characters, diorama-like world, bosses, and new gameplay.
A Forgotten Hero’s Journey
Kidbash: Super Legend follows Kidbash, a forgotten game character who wakes up with no memory of his past. After failing to save the village of Mandala, he sets off to train under the legendary master Tao Shen Long, only to find that the master has vanished.
The game draws from classic action-platformers like Mega Man and Kirby, mixing fast combat, exploration, and roguelike progression.
Weapon Mixing and Village Progression
Players can fight through enemies to build a meter, then combine two weapons into a stronger hybrid weapon with its own mechanics. Randomized mods can also improve combat and platforming, with effects stacking through weapon combinations.
Between runs, players will help forgotten characters rebuild their destroyed village, tying meta progression and character growth directly to the village’s recovery.
