Ballgame Demo Available Now as Human Computer Reveals New Gameplay Details

Human Computer has released a new look at Ballgame during the MIX Summer Game Showcase and announced that a free demo is now available on Steam. The physics-driven platformer is scheduled to launch on PC later this year.

Described as a blend of golf, pinball, platformers, and arcade games, Ballgame challenges players to navigate obstacle-filled courses using careful aim, momentum, and precision.

Golf, Pinball, and Platforming Collide

Players take control of Dolf T. Langreen, a newly sentient golf ball banished to a mysterious interdimensional hotel. While the goal sounds simple—get the ball into the hole in as few shots as possible—the journey is anything but straightforward.

Courses are filled with rails to grind, bumpers to ricochet from, floating bubbles, spikes, and other physics-based hazards that reward experimentation and mastery.

Tournament Mode and Heists Revealed

Human Computer also detailed two of the game’s major modes. Tournament Mode focuses on completing courses with the fewest possible strokes, while the newly revealed Heists mode adds a speedrunning twist where players race through levels and compete for leaderboard positions.

The studio says Ballgame is built around quick restarts and replayability, encouraging players to immediately jump back in after failed attempts, near misses, and unexpected trick shots.

Launching Later This Year

Founded by former Airbnb Chief Design Officer Alex Schleifer and Eliot Garcia Weisberg, Human Computer describes Ballgame as a “genre-warping” experience that transforms every shot into a puzzle.

Ballgame is available to wishlist on Steam now, with the free demo currently live ahead of its full PC release later in 2026.
