The Arcade Crew and solo developer Regal Pigeon Games have announced Chivalware, a new roguelite adventure launching on PC this autumn. A debut demo is available now on Steam.
The reveal arrived with a new trailer showing the game’s mix of tile matching, real-time grid-based combat, roguelite progression, and cyber-medieval pixel art.
Cyber-Medieval Knights and Floppy Disk Weapons
Chivalware puts players in the role of a Disk Knight in a world that blends medieval fantasy with retro computer tech. The kingdom tasks players with slaying its king, who has been driven mad by power and isolation, though strange glitches hint at a larger mystery beneath the quest.
Players will fight through four biomes and face eight bosses while unlocking new weapons, items, and playable Disk Knights across runs.
Match Tiles While Dodging Attacks
Combat blends match-three tile mechanics with real-time movement on a grid-based battlefield. Players match tiles in sets of three to charge abilities and equip weapons while dodging enemy attacks.
The game is designed to be easy to start but hard to master, with higher difficulty options available for players looking for a tougher challenge.
Demo Includes First Biome and Boss
The Steam demo includes the first biome, the first boss, the Disk Knight as a playable character, and a higher-level difficulty mode.
