While on my rambles around YouTube, I saw earthbounding had a new video….

August/September Recap

What we learn:

–We know Spirit Tracks was playable at E3, however, the same demo also appeared at Gamescom. Does that mean Spirit Tracks isn’t being given that much importance?
–It is possible Spirit Tracks could be used to keep Zelda fans occupied while the team works on New Zelda Wii
–Spirit Tracks has been receiving harsh criticism–Kiziko was unimpressed with the train sections
–Spirit Tracks is set to arrive in the USA December 7, and preorders are being taken
–The boxart has also been unveiled
–Some are concerned about Spirit Tracks’ originality–some aspects of Phantom Hourglass also appear verbatim in Spirit Tracks
–It is now known that Link will have a Phantom companion–in addition, there will be track puzzles and new items.
–Drawing on maps is back, and there will be more mic support
–In New Zelda Wii news, IGN found a Hylian Shield and Master Sword inside the idea room of Retro Studios’ base–does this mean Retro Studios is involved with New Zelda Wii or is working on something Zelda-esque?
–Can we see a glimpse of New Zelda Wii this year? TGS is ruled out, since Nintendo will not be appearing. That said, Infendo claims that we will see a trailer next month. If the rumor is true, Link will make an appearance at the fall summit or at the Kyoto Cross Media Experience. Only time will tell if we’ll see anything at all.

Stay tuned for more info as I find it.

Happy gaming,
SparklingBlue
