Mega Man Legends 3 Cancelled

Capcom has cancelled production of its 3DS titles, Mega Man Legends 3 and its downloadable Prototype prequel. A blog post on Capcom Unity confirmed the cancellation stating, “We’d like to thank you for your ongoing loyal support of Mega Man Legends 3. Today, however, we must regrettably announce the discontinuation of this project.”

The publisher noted that MML3 did not “met the required criteria.” As the primary title is cancelled, Capcom also terminated the downloadable prequel MML3 Prototype Version and MML3 Developer Room. Capcom also noted that the cancellation was not anyway related to the departure of Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune who left the company last year after 23 years.
