Code Vein II Announced for 2026 with New Timeline-Hopping Story

At Summer Game Fest 2025, Bandai Namco announced Code Vein II, a sequel to the action RPG released in 2019. While few details about the game have been revealed so far, it is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is on the verge of collapse due to the emergence of a threat called the Luna Rapacis and the Revenants’ transformation into dangerous creatures, with a trailer that asks, “If time were a weapon to wield, could you undo the sins of ruin?”

The game will take place across two different eras of time and feature action RPG combat that includes powerful skills, strategy through the use of Blood codes, unique weapons and equipment called Jails, and bonds forged with Partner characters.

Code Vein II will launch in 2026 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
