I Am Machine Launches November 6 – Demo Coming October 10 Ahead of Steam Next Fest

Nordcurrent has announced I Am Machine, a brutal isometric rogue-lite adventure set in a machine-ruled world. Launching on November 6, 2025, the game’s first demo arrives on October 10, just ahead of Steam Next Fest on October 13.

Combining lightning-fast combat, strategic base-building, and emotional storytelling, I Am Machine thrusts players into a post-apocalyptic wasteland where survival means adapting or being annihilated.

A Battle Between Man and Machine

Players step into the cybernetic boots of Erik, a lone survivor who has been rebuilt into a living weapon after losing everything in the machine uprising. With his daughter kidnapped and humanity on the brink of extinction, Erik must tear through mechanical hordes and shifting landscapes in a desperate mission to reclaim what’s left of mankind.

Combat in I Am Machine is fast, fluid, and deadly. Players can mix over 100 upgrades across melee and ranged weapons to forge their ideal fighting style. Every biome introduces new mechanical threats and environmental hazards, demanding players rethink their strategy on the fly.

Absorb, Adapt, and Fight Back

A standout feature of I Am Machine is its “Absorb and Flare” mechanic, letting players steal enemy abilities and unleash them in explosive counterattacks. Enemies drop valuable scrap, which Erik can use to craft defenses such as turrets, traps, and laser systems—turning the machines’ own technology against them.

Between battles, players can rebuild and upgrade their hideout, meet survivors, and uncover humanity’s fragmented past through personal stories that add emotional weight to the chaos.
