With its July 15 release date just around the corner, River End Games has released an extended developer presentation for Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream, offering fans a behind-the-scenes look at the game’s creation and a fresh batch of gameplay footage. The isometric, single-player narrative adventure launches next week for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
A Stealth-Driven Story of Revolution and Resistance
Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream follows siblings Hanna and Herman as they become entangled in a growing revolution that threatens to unravel their entire city. When her brother goes missing under suspicious circumstances, Hanna must navigate the city’s underbelly and uncover a conspiracy that runs deeper than she ever imagined. The game mixes strategic stealth gameplay with rich storytelling and a visually striking isometric art style.
Inspired by games like Desperados, This War of Mine, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Eriksholm emphasizes choice, atmosphere, and character-driven narrative. Players will guide multiple characters through dangerous cityscapes, using light, shadows, and the environment to outmaneuver guards and surveillance while uncovering the truth.
What’s in the Developer Documentary?
The new documentary dives into the origins of Eriksholm, the challenges of crafting a story-rich stealth game, and how the developers brought the fictional city to life. River End Games also teases new story beats and shows off character animations, traversal mechanics, and key narrative moments that define the emotional weight of the game.
