Top Hat Studios and developer Kyle Thompson have announced that Well Dweller will launch on September 22, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
The dark fairy-tale search action game will also be available day one with Xbox Game Pass on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC.
A Dark Tale From the Creator of Islets
Well Dweller comes from Kyle Thompson, the developer behind Crypt Custodian and Islets.
Players take on the role of Glimmer, a tiny bird armed with a matchstick. His family faces a grim fate at the hands of a wicked queen, who plans to make them part of her royal gown.
Burn the Queen, Save Your Family
Glimmer must travel through a strange, morbid kingdom filled with odd characters, dangerous beasts, hidden paths, and buried secrets.
As players gain new abilities, they can reach more areas, solve riddles, and push deeper into the queen’s rotting domain.
Nintendo Switch 2 Joins at Launch
Well Dweller was first shown during a Nintendo Indie Showcase, with Nintendo Switch and PC already confirmed.
Top Hat Studios has now added PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 to the launch lineup. The native Nintendo Switch 2 version will feature higher-resolution graphics and upgraded texture quality.
