Cultic Console Release Date Set for Indie FPS

Jasozz Games and Atari have announced the Cultic console release date for the indie first-person shooter that initially released on PC back in 2022, and interested players won’t be waiting too long.

The game is set to release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23, and will include both Cultic: Chapter One and Cultic: Chapter Two.  It’ll run you $19.98 USD to purchase, and features 23 maps within its story mode. Additionally, upon completing the story, a wave-based Survival Mode is available for players to dive into.

What is Cultic?

Cultic is a 2022 first-person shooter made by solo developer Jason Smith. The game was inspired by classic shooters ranging from Resident Evil 4 to Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II and combines a 3D world with gritty and pixelated visuals.

“Death is only the beginning,” reads the title’s official Steam description. “Crawl from your grave and gear up to fight your way through the ranks of a mysterious and twisted cult. You, your guns, and your dynamite will have to shoot, slide, blast, duck, dodge, and maybe throw a gib or two to survive in this old-school-inspired shooter.”
