NC has announced that it will publish Astrae Oratio, a colorful anime-style magic girl RPG from Korean developer Dynamis One. The publisher also released the game’s first character preview trailer, offering a closer look at its cast, combat styles, and magical setting.
The move marks another step in NC’s push to expand its lineup beyond MMORPGs, with Astrae Oratio leaning into character-driven fantasy, school-life energy, and a strange layer of civil service bureaucracy.
Magic Meets Administration
Astrae Oratio takes place in a fantasy version of Tokyo where magic and government work collide. While the game centers on magicians, one of its more unusual figures is the Shunin, an ordinary civil servant responsible for the administrative side of the magical community.
NC has been teasing the game through character details, combat previews, daily life scenarios, and location reveals. Recent updates have highlighted areas such as the Special District Office and Dominion, building out the game’s setting piece by piece.
A Growing Cast
So far, NC has introduced 12 characters and setting details through the Astrae Oratio teaser site. The latest trailer focuses on the personalities, skills, and fighting styles of its magician cast, giving players a better sense of how the RPG side of the game will work.
The teaser site also includes 13 comics and four SD stamps, including content tied to the Magicians and Duel Trial images. Fans can also check out four-panel manga and character stamps while waiting for more details.
