505 Games has announced a publishing partnership with Polish indie developer Paradark Studio for ExeKiller, a single-player retro-futuristic Western shooter coming to PC via Steam.
Set in a post-apocalyptic America where cyberpunk tech meets frontier justice, ExeKiller puts players in the role of Denzel Fenix, a licensed bounty hunter chasing contracts across a harsh desert frontier.
A Cyberpunk Western Built Around Choice
ExeKiller focuses on player decisions, investigation, and consequence. As Denzel Fenix, players will track targets, gather clues, question suspects, and decide how each contract ends.
Some targets can be killed. Others can be spared. Players can follow orders, betray employers, take payment, or walk away. Paradark says those decisions will affect relationships, story outcomes, and later events, even when the results do not appear right away.
Hunt Contracts Across the Wasteland
Each bounty begins with a contract and a target. From there, players can investigate crime scenes, use Cybervision to reconstruct events, and study clues before choosing how to approach the hunt.
Combat, stealth, hacking, and persuasion all play a role. ExeKiller also uses real-time dialogue, meaning conversations can occur during driving, shooting, and other active moments rather than stopping the action.
No XP Bars, No Level Caps
Progression in ExeKiller comes from mods, augments, weapons, and tech rather than traditional XP systems. Quest rewards expand the player’s tools, opening new tactical options without relying on grinding.
Players will also travel in the Appaloosa, a hovercar that plays a key role in exploration and bounty hunting as new regions open throughout the story.
Wishlists Open on Steam
ExeKiller is currently in development for PC via Steam. 505 Games will publish the title worldwide, with more details expected as Paradark Studio continues development.
