Raw Fury and developer Fool Moon have announced Hillthorn, a dark card-based investigation game coming to PC. The game tasks players with solving the disappearance of a missing child through clue cards, logic, and intuition, all without spoken dialogue.
Hillthorn joins Raw Fury’s lineup of mystery-focused games, following titles like Blue Prince and The Seance of Blake Manor.
A Mystery Told Through Cards
Hillthorn is set around a dangerous mountain trail system that only the desperate try to cross. With a child missing and time running out, players must piece together what happened by studying clue cards.
Every detail appears through cards that can be investigated, explored, or, in some cases, communicated with. Instead of conversations or direct exposition, the game asks players to read the clues and make connections on their own.
An Outsider in a Closed Community
Players take on the role of someone sent to find the missing child, but the locals are not eager to help. As an outsider to the Flock, gaining information requires care, patience, and the right decisions.
That tension seems central to Hillthorn’s structure, with every lead competing against a ticking clock.
