Square Enix has dropped a new Final Fantasy Resonance trailer for the upcoming HD-2D RPG, as well as announced the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 digital standard and deluxe edition pre-orders.
Additionally, though it’s not set to release until October 22, fans can now digitally pre-order the game on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, with both the standard and deluxe editions being available. When the game launches, it’ll also be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The digital deluxe edition of the game includes the Magitek Armor Key item, which makes your chocobo look like a suit of magitek armor, as well as Archwitch’s Grimoire — which unlocks a “certain character’s” Fel Meteor Limit Burst. Finally, a bevy of useful in-game items like tents and Phoenix Downs.

What is Final Fantasy Resonance about?
Final Fantasy Resonance‘s narrative is based on the first story arc of Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, which first released on mobile device worldwide in 2016. It follows the young Kingdom of Grandshelt knight Rain, his childhood friend Laswell, and Fina — a mysterious girl who was found trapped within a crystal. The trio battles against the Sworn Six of Paladia — powerful knights who serve the kingdom of Aldore.
