Expeditions: Samurai Early Access Plan Centers on Player Feedback

Campfire Cabal has shared its Early Access plan for Expeditions: Samurai, which launches on Steam on August 7, 2026.

The studio says Early Access will let players help shape the next entry in the Expeditions series by providing feedback on combat, stealth, exploration, balance, and overall gameplay.

Early Access as a Player-Driven Process

Campfire Cabal frames Expeditions: Samurai’s Early Access launch as a return to the community-focused approach behind Expeditions: Conquistador’s Kickstarter days.

The team wants early feedback so it can adjust systems as the game develops. That includes how players respond to tactical combat, stealth options, exploration, and the balance of features.

Three Major Updates Planned

Expeditions: Samurai is planned to receive three major updates during Early Access.

The studio already has internal plans for those updates, but player feedback will help decide what changes, features, and additions make it into the game.
