Beast of Reincarnation Patch Updates Camera, Text, and Cutscenes

Beast of Reincarnation has received a new patch, bringing performance, gameplay, and usability updates to the action RPG.

Patch v1.0.7 / v1.005.000 focuses on camera behavior, text readability, cutscene playback, controls, parry timing, and a story event bug tied to button mapping.

Camera and Text Adjustments

The update makes several changes to the player camera during and outside combat.

The team says more camera changes are planned, including an option to adjust the camera’s distance from the player and additional presentation tweaks.

Text size has also been adjusted across the game. Subtitle text size changes are still being planned, along with an option that lets players adjust subtitle size.

Cutscene Changes

Certain cutscenes have had their playback conditions changed so they no longer trigger back-to-back.

Affinity conversations will now play only once per day. The team is also looking at future improvements, including visual presentation adjustments and a way for players to replay cutscenes.

The default cinematic cutscene setting has also changed from Cinematic to Performance mode. Cutscenes will no longer play at 24fps by default, though players can still choose the Cinematic option.

Control and Combat Fixes

The settings menu now lets players customize the Interact button separately.

The patch also adjusts the parry window when Emma is taking damage.

A bug has also been fixed involving the story event where players talk to Kagura on the Walker. If the Interact button was mapped to square/X, pressing it could incorrectly prioritize “rest until morning,” blocking the Kagura conversation.

Additional patches are planned, with full patch notes and details on future updates available on the Fictions support page.
