Jagex has announced that RuneScape: Dragonwilds will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass when it launches its 1.0 version on September 15, 2026.
The survival crafting game has already reached more than one million players during Steam Early Access and will mark RuneScape’s first console release.
Ashenfall Comes to Consoles
RuneScape: Dragonwilds sends solo players or teams of up to four across Ashenfall, an unexplored continent in Gielinor.
Players will gather resources, build shelters, craft gear, brew potions, level skills, and use magic drawn from the land’s anima-rich energy. The goal is to track the source of wild magic spreading across Ashenfall and fight toward the Dragon Queen.
Survival Through RuneScape Magic
The game keeps RuneScape’s skill-driven structure while shifting it into survival crafting.
Players can summon a spectral axe to cut trees, use magic to escape danger, turn bones into peaches, blast ore veins, and pull resources from the land in stranger ways than a basic axe or pickaxe.
Classic RuneScape creatures like Zogres and Black Knights appear alongside new threats such as the Garou.
