Snail Games has revealed 9 Yin Sutra: Wuxia, a martial arts RPG inspired by ancient Chinese legends.
Announced at gamescom, the game lets players shape their path through Ancient China with skill-based combat, deep progression, and choices that affect their legend.
Martial Arts Across Ancient China
9 Yin Sutra: Wuxia sends players across remote wilderness, large cities, mountain ranges, and hidden strongholds.
Each region features changing weather, secrets to find, and encounters that can push the player’s story in different directions.
Combat Built on Timing
Players can study forgotten techniques from different martial arts schools and build their own fighting style.
Combat uses an evolved Feint, Overt, and Block system, with timing, precision, and tactics driving each fight. The goal is to grow from wandering fighter to Grandmaster.
NPCs With Their Own Lives
Snail Games says players will meet more than 1,000 NPCs, each with their own goals, routines, relationships, and stories.
Those encounters can shape how the player is remembered. You can follow the path of a wandering hero, merchant, craftsman, faction leader, or martial arts master.
