Bandai Namco has announced that Gundam Rogue Orbit will launch March 5, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The new action game introduces a new timeline in the Gundam saga, with humanity fighting for survival against a threat known as the Apocalypse.
Gundam Helix Enters the Fight
Gundam Rogue Orbit puts players in control of the Gundam Helix as ace pilot RE-X.
RE-X is joined by Vii, a Haro unit built as an intelligent assist unit for the Gundam Helix. Together, they take on battles across the solar system while facing the growing danger of the Apocalypse.
The release date trailer also shows a mysterious black Mobile Suit with glowing red eyes.
New Characters Revealed
Bandai Namco also introduced several story characters.
Sofia is a mysterious young woman watching RE-X’s movements. April serves as captain of the Stellarvane, an independent special-duty vessel fighting the Apocalypse.
The trailer also reveals Big Paul, a sand pirate leader who hunts the Apocalypse while raiding wealthy transports to support settlers, and Elaine, a knight commander and skilled Mobile Suit pilot who leads from the front.
Mobile Suit Customization
Combat centers on fast battles across large zones on the ground and in the air.
Players can customize their Mobile Suit with different weapons, frames, thrusters, Apocalypse Units, and color schemes. Each weapon has its own actions and skills, letting players build around their preferred combat style.
Pre-Orders and Editions
Pre-orders are available now, with early access to the Earth Blue color customization.
The Standard Edition includes the base game. The Launch Edition adds reversible cover art, an 11×17” poster, and a Gundam Card Game promo card.
The Deluxe Edition includes the base game, Premium Mod Skins Set, Mobile Suit Color Pack 14-Color Set, Digital Artwork & Music Selection, and Mission Reward Booster.
The Collector’s Edition includes the Launch Edition contents, all Digital Deluxe content, a steel case, an exclusive HG 1/144 ARK-10 Gundam Helix (Earth Blue ver.) model kit, and five Gundam Card Game promo cards.
