Maneater 2 Announced for PC and Consoles

Tripwire Interactive and Demiurge Studios have announced Maneater 2, the sequel to 2020’s shark-starring open-water action RPG.

Revealed during Sony’s State of Play, Maneater 2 is currently in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game is planned to launch in 2027.

The Shark Heads to Neptune’s Kingdom

Maneater 2 takes players to Neptune’s Kingdom, a luxury theme park and resort built around Roman Empire excess, marine research, and bad ideas waiting to go wrong.

Players will crash an invite-only preview event filled with influencers, media figures, and enough seafood to make the shark’s return messy fast.

The sequel keeps the original game’s shark power fantasy intact.

Players will hunt prey across the park’s marine ecosystem, including pufferfish, jumbo crab, piranha, grouper, and humans who probably should have stayed on land.

Neptune’s Kingdom will also feature genetically modified evolutions tied to the park’s research, giving the bull shark new tools while trying to escape a resort built on science, greed, and terrible corporate judgment.

Trip Westhaven Returns

Trip Westhaven, the disgraced reality TV host and narrator from the first game, returns in Maneater 2.

Chris Parnell is back to voice the character, bringing more one-sided commentary to the shark’s campaign through Neptune’s Kingdom.

Built With Demiurge Studios

Tripwire Interactive is teaming with Demiurge Studios on the sequel.

The teams are aiming for sharper underwater environments, improved prey and predator behavior, and greater detail across Neptune’s Kingdom.

Coming in 2027

Maneater 2 launches in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Tripwire will self-publish the game across digital storefronts, while PLAION will support physical retail distribution.
