Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale, a rhythm and puzzle action-adventure coming in 2027.
Developed by Metronomik, the game will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
Kaya Sets Out to Become a Worldbuilder
Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale follows Kaya, a young hero trying to become a Worldbuilder like her parents.
To earn that title, she needs to gather the Giants and perform the Renewal Ritual, restoring the flavors of the lands she visits along the way.
Rhythm Drives the Action
Music sits at the center of Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale.
Players will follow the tempo during exploration, puzzles, and combat. Keeping the beat opens new paths, strengthens Kaya’s abilities, and shapes how players move through each area.
A Spoon, Ondeh Powers, and Plenty of Puzzles
Kaya uses her trusty Spoon and the powers of the Ondeh to interact with her surroundings.
Those tools help her solve puzzles, deal with odd creatures, and push past obstacles across a game inspired by Southeast Asian music, food, and culture.
Coming in 2027
Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale launches in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
Bandai Namco also released the game’s announcement trailer, giving players a first look at Kaya’s rhythm-driven adventure.
