Marvelous has announced that Muramasa: Revenant Blades will launch on February 4, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The updated release of Vanillaware’s side-scrolling action-RPG also received a nearly 10-minute gameplay showcase with combat, exploration, English voiceover, 4K visual upgrades, and new box art.
Vanillaware’s Action-RPG Returns
Muramasa: Revenant Blades updates the 2009 Wii and 2013 PlayStation Vita action-RPG for modern platforms.
The new version supports up to 4K resolution and includes updated combat, new weapon systems, added modes, and gameplay options.
All six playable characters will be available from the start, including Momohime, Kisuke, Okoi, Gonbe, Arashimaru, and Rajaki.
Six Stories From Japan’s Past
Muramasa: Revenant Blades takes place during a conflict over powerful samurai swords forged by Senji Muramasa.
The blades grant power, but they also drive their wielders toward bloodshed. As factions fight over them, demons and spirits move across the land, pulling all six characters into their own stories.
