Eidos-Montréal and Marvel Games have announced that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026.
The new version will cost $39.99 and includes the full game, all previously released digital content, five exclusive outfits, mouse controls, and gyroscope support.
Five New Outfits for the Guardians
Encore Edition adds five outfits inspired by 1980s glam rock, with one new look for each Guardian.
These costumes are exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 release and draw from the same musical era that shaped the fictional Star-Lord band featured in the game.

Mouse and Gyro Controls Added
The Nintendo Switch 2 version supports the system’s built-in mouse functionality.
Players can use mouse controls to aim and interact with menus. Gyroscope controls are also supported, letting players tilt the controller while piloting the Milano, sliding, or moving through zero-gravity sequences.
The game supports TV, Tabletop, and Handheld modes.

The Full Guardians Campaign
Players take control of Star-Lord and lead the Guardians through combat, exploration, and dialogue choices.
The game includes team upgrades, 50 in-game outfits, and a soundtrack featuring over 30 songs from the 1980s.
Eidos-Montréal developed the Nintendo Switch 2 version internally.

One More Night on Stage
Studio Creative Director Jean-François Dugas described Encore Edition as another opportunity to bring the team’s version of the Guardians to players.
Associate Producer Inès Bruckner said the team focused on making the Switch 2 release work across TV and handheld play while adding the new glam-rock-inspired costumes.
