Devolver Digital and Kenny Sun and Friends have announced Ball x Pit: Risen Ballbylon, a paid expansion launching November 12 for $6.99.
Available on PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox, iOS, and Android, the expansion adds new characters, balls, bosses, enemies, passives, buildings, and mechanics. Players will need to complete the base game before accessing its content.
Take the Lift Up to Risen Ballbylon
Instead of descending farther into the pit, players will take the lift upward to reach Risen Ballbylon, a city floating above the abyss.
The expansion adds four battlefields, each with its own boss, alongside over 40 new enemy types.
Players will also gain access to 45 additional passives, including Lucky Coin, Eldritch Gauntlet, Vampire’s Kiss, Volatile Explosive, and Relentless Whip.
Eight New Characters Change Each Run
Risen Ballbylon adds eight playable characters built around mechanics that can significantly alter how runs play.
The Sentinel can aim in any direction, while The Stonewaller sends balls through to the opposite side the first time they strike a wall.
The Right Hand Man deals double ball damage when hitting the right wall, but only half damage when hitting the left.
24 New Balls Join the Arsenal
Players can experiment with 24 additional balls and combine them into new fusions.
The Beast Ball attaches itself to enemies and keeps dealing damage until they fall. The Kaiju Ball triggers earthquakes, the Misfortune Ball curses targets, and the Hedgehog Ball adds a spiked option to the lineup.
Base-Building Gets Bigger
The expansion also adds 20 buildings to the village system.
New structures include the Floating Fortress, Crystal Monolith, Soup Kitchen, Circus Tent, and Fission Chamber.
Players can also mine crystals, a new resource that expands the game’s economy and gives players another element to manage while improving their base.
