Edge of Memories will launch December 3, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Publisher Nacon announced the revised release date alongside a new trailer and plans for an updated Steam demo in early November.
Nacon says the new timing gives the French-developed action RPG a quieter release period. The demo will reflect community feedback, including improvements to combat, gameplay, and accessibility.
Updated Demo Covers the Opening Hours
The revised demo lets you play the first few hours of Edge of Memories with its latest refinements. Nacom describes the updated combat as more dynamic and intense, though the announcement doesn’t detail specific mechanical changes.
The full adventure takes you across Avaris, including the plains of Argat, the forest of Kaishan, and the Sanctorium’s territory in the Kezal Mountains.
JRPG Influences Meet French Animation
Edge of Memories combines JRPG influences with an art direction inspired by French animation.
Its collaborators include character designer Raita Kazama, known for Xenoblade Chronicles X, and writer Sawako Natori, whose credits include NieR.
Cédric Menendez leads the evolving soundtrack, with vocals from Emi Evans and Marion Schneider. Composers Mariam Abounnasr and Yasunori Mitsuda also contributed to the original score.
