HeroQuest: Digital Edition is bringing the tabletop dungeon crawler to PC via Steam in 2027. Nomad Games and Balor Games revealed the officially licensed adaptation during The MIX Fall Showcase, with a closed beta playtest coming soon.
You can command the entire hero party alone, team up online, or take control of Zargon to oppose your friends.
Four Heroes Face a Player-Controlled Zargon
The adventure follows the Barbarian, Dwarf, Elf, and Wizard as they battle Dread’s forces to stop the sorcerer Zargon.
Online play supports up to four players controlling the heroes, with an optional fifth player taking Zargon’s role. That player can plot against the party instead of joining its ranks.
Combat is tactical and turn-based, with dice rolls determining outcomes. Positioning, cooperation, and each hero’s strengths shape how your group handles the dungeon’s threats.
Create Quests and Play Community Adventures
A built-in Quest Editor lets you design your own adventures. Integration with mod.io also gives you access to community-created quests, so players have more to explore beyond the included content.
