Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3DS Trailer, Coming Spring 2011

Konami and Kojima Productions are increasingly hinting at Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D as a possible launch title for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS, slated to release February 26 in Japan and in March 2011 for North America and Europe.

Metal Gear Solid is expected to release on launch or soon after, being touted as a revival of the PS2 original video game but with the inclusion of new gameplay to utilize the 3D technology on the handheld. Video footage of Snake Eater 3D running on 3DS hardware has been uploaded and is viewable, courtesy of Nintendo3DS. Obviously, you cannot see the 3D effects directly but you should be able to get an idea as something reaches out to the screen every few seconds.

New features seen in the trailer show that Snake is able to sprint while crouching and a ring has appeared around him, in the fashion of the PSP Metal Gear Solid games.
