Warner Bros to Publish Lollipop Chainsaw

The US distributor for Kadokawa Games, Suda 51, and Akira Yamaoka has been outed and, surprisingly, Warner Bros. has taken the helm to bring Lollipop Chainsaw for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2012.

Based on our previous news post, Lollipop Chainsaw appeals to the cult following of Suda 51’s previous titles but injects a John Romero flair for Western audiences. Warner Bros has brought aboard Hollywood writer/director James Gunn (Super, Slither, Dawn of the Dead, Tromeo and Juliet) for this initiative. Hopefully, having a star developement team and a publisher who is willing to throw marketing power will bring an expanded audience for the talented Suda 51.
