Nintendo brings on-demand video with TVii

Nintendo is rolling out its on-demand service called TVii. Service parterns include Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Instant Video so far. You’ll be able to connect the system to your Tivo DVR devices and even watch live television. The TVii becomes an interactive TV guide that helps you find programming across every content provider.

The TVii service features internet connectivity so you too can tweet about programs or find fans of the show you’re watching. IMDB and Wikipedia were spotted from the TVii app. A timeline of events appears on the app, so even if you’re late to a show you’ll still able up to catch up.

TVii will be included free with the Wii U console and won’t charge any monthly fees.
