Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Is Real, and Coming To PS4 Next Year

Marvel and Capcom stole the scene today at PSX when the long-awaited fourth entry in the Marvel vs Capcom series was announced, titled Marvel vs Capcom Infinite. After a week of rumors and speculation, a trailer was shown off to open up the first panel at PSX. Confirming Mega Man X, Ryu, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel as playable characters, the first trailer seems to suggest the series will be returning to its 2v2 roots, rather than the 3v3 system of Marvel vs Capcom 2 and 3.

Michael Evans, Director of Production for Capcom USA, commented:

“It was deeply inspiring for our development team to join forces again with Marvel and we can’t wait for our fans to experience the benefits of that collaboration first hand. With Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, our goal is to provide memorable experiences and infinite gameplay possibilities for players of all skill levels.”

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is set to release for the PS4 next year. For more information, check out the trailer above.
