Super Mario Odyssey Brings Mario to the Switch, and to New York

Nintendo has announced the newest entry in the Mario series for the Nintendo Switch, Super Mario Odyssey. Taking Mario in a wildly different direction, Super Mario Odyssey will feature levels based on real-world locations alongside the usual colorful fantasy worlds. Odyssey is a 3D platformer, akin to Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Galaxy.

Mario’s hat will be a supporting character in the game, sporting two eyes. Supposedly the hat will host features exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.
