The streets of Mouseburg are getting a messy makeover. Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios have unveiled a new trailer for MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, showing off a bonkers arsenal of science-infused weapons that would make any mad scientist jealous—and every gangster mouse terrified.
This stylish black-and-white shooter channels 1930s rubber hose animation with a hard-boiled noir twist, and now it’s armed to the teeth with a fresh batch of experimental gadgets courtesy of the shady folks at SPIKE-D.
Say Hello to the Tools of Tomorrow (Today)
The new trailer introduces players to four flashy, dangerously unstable “household” essentials:
- CLEAN-D Automatic Turpentine Cleanser (Turpentine Gun)
This bad boy doesn’t just clean up the streets—it erases them. Vaporize thugs with a blast of acidic turpentine in true retro fashion. - COOL-D Cold Steam Applier (Freeze Gun)
The future is frosty. Freeze enemies mid-chase and enjoy the oddly satisfying shatter effect. Not FDA approved. - MIND-D Self-Aware Attitude Changer (Conscious Gun)
Why fight when you can mesmerize? Use this psychological disruptor to hypnotize your way out of trouble—and into it.
More Than Just Wacky Weapons
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire isn’t all about slapstick firepower, though it does that extremely well. Here’s what else you can expect:
- Hand-drawn animation & jazz-fueled chaos straight from the golden age of cartoons.
- Customizable power-ups like Spike-D Spinach and grappling tails.
- Fast-paced FPS action with explosive weapons, upgrade systems, and challenging boss fights.
- A dangerous city to explore, from casinos and sewers to swamps and soundstages.
- Detective storytelling, collectibles, minigames, and a wink to pop culture history.
