The dragon is dead, the loot is gone, and the heroes have long since logged out—but for the goblins, the real adventure is just beginning. Goblin Cleanup, a chaotic co-op dungeon janitor sim from Crisalu Games and Team17 Digital, officially hits Steam Early Access on August 28th, turning your favorite fantasy battlegrounds into messy, blood-soaked workplaces in need of some serious TLC.
You and up to three fellow goblin maids must restore each handcrafted dungeon to working order, from mopping up pools of viscera to reactivating deadly traps (mind where you step, they’re still active) and restocking treasure chests with glittering loot. And yes, you’ll also be respawning monsters… or cleaning up the leftovers.
After the Adventure Ends, the Work Begins
The goblins in Goblin Cleanup aren’t just low-level mobs anymore—they’re custodians of chaos. Each level is a puzzle of blood, broken traps, and bone fragments where players must:
- Use tools like the Slimop, mimic cleaner, and slime dispenser to scrub every trace of battle from floors and ceilings.
- Restore objects and traps to their original locations and lethal glory.
- Clean up or respawn creatures, including those that didn’t quite make it… or never left.
- Refill loot chests with appropriately tempting treasures to lure in the next party of adventurers.
Team17 Producer Louis Reeve called the experience “amazing,” adding, “Just watch your step!”
Slimes, Spills, and Surprises Await
Described as a kind of Viscera Cleanup Detail by way of Overcooked, Goblin Cleanup mixes hilarious physics-based multiplayer chaos with meticulous dungeon restoration objectives. You’ll encounter mimics, wayward slimes, active traps, and fellow goblins who may or may not be “helping.” The game’s handcrafted dungeons are designed by in-house “craft-gnomes,” with plenty of secrets and side objectives to keep you sweeping long into the night.
